The apartment of Santa Maria di Castello in one of the nobel parts of downtown in Genova. It is the most ancient area and it's next to the "summer catherdral" of Santa Maria di Castello, which was first built in 658 AD.
The apartment in Vico della Rosa is located in one of the narrow roads of Genova and was built somewhere in the 16th century.
These narrow roads, called "vicoli" or "carruggi" are extremely busy and often crowded, when the shops are open, but there is no traffic, except for occasional supplies to the shops.
The town of Genoa is built between the mountains and the sea and already in ancient times space was a valuable resource.
Walls from one side of the street often appear to touch each other at the top of the building.
Here the buildings are tall and the streets are very narrow and walking through them can be extremely fascinating. It is like living in a different century: A unique experience for a holiday.
